I am yours

I struggled, I argued, I questioned
Searching for the mystery that was above and beyond
I dreamed, I hoped and my faith even failed
Waiting for divinity to be unveiled
I rejected, wrongly interpreted, and abused
Your loving Spirit that my life needed
You never relented, never slumbered, never tired
Calling my name as the years wasted
You protected, You preserved, You loved,
Repeating to me ‘You are mine my Child’
You delivered, You healed You reformed
Unfailing in your promises made
Unwilling and slightly skeptical I finally submitted and now firmly established
I boldly proclaim I am yours Lord
