Do you really understand?

In the will of God there is no such thing as stagnation, we only fail to see what God is doing while we are in that uncomfortable place of transition. We cry out "Do something, Lord!" failing to see that God is hard at work in and for us. I'm reminded of Joseph who met his biggest opportunities in the betrayal of his brothers and in a jail cell. God was setting up the stage to elevate him in a situation that most would see as a dead end.Understanding is so vital, it's one of the keys to peace and contentment.

GRACE

2 Corinthians12:9 And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me

His GRACE is SUFFICIENT, it's more than a verse, it's an attitude that I hope we can all carry as an amour against all self doubt, discouragement and self dependence. No matter what the opposition, His Grace is sufficient. Know this today, His Grace is an unfailing enabler.

NO FEAR

Numbers13:30
And Caleb stilled the people before Moses, and said, Let us go up at once, and possess it; for we are well able to overcome it.
 Just because it's new territory, just because it's a challenge, doesn't mean I won't possess it!there's is only ONE option here, NO FEAR!

Management and competence.

Beyond our Faith to receive from God we should pray for management and competence of what we receive for what good is what you receive if you can't manage it or if you aren't competent to keep it? We should also pray to accept what God knows better than to allow us to have.

The right order

There is an order of doing things and Gods order is to be fruitful first before you multiply otherwise all you're doing is multiplying your unfruitfulness.It is the fruit that you should  multiply so be fruitful first!Genesis 1:28
Before you open other churches, be fruitful in one church first.
Before you start a franchise, be fruitful in one store first.
Before you get married, have a fruitful relationship first(and I'm not talking popping babies)

A double standard is really no standard.

Lesson from Leah.

It is not enough just to be committed, what or who we commit to is what really matters. In Genesis 29:31-35 we see that Leah was literally committed to unfruitfulness by committing to a man whose heart was wholly taken. There is no yield in committing to what is not fruitful, there is only effort and more effort.

Change is a life saver!

The refusal to definitively change your life can not only prevent that good and perfect plan that God has for you from coming to fruition but also lead to the loss of your life.Genesis 19:26, Luke 17:33

Thoughts from "Saving Face"

Saving Face the documentary, not for the faint hearted! People often fool themselves into playing God and forget that by stealing someone's dream or life, they will not be any closer to achieving theirs! No matter how much you abuse and mistreat a person, God still has an ultimate plan for that person.

Long suffering/patience

Love is patient/suffers long 1 Corinthians 13:4
Love is first and foremost PATIENT because patience is that affectionate space we grant others to excel, to be better and to grow, while letting them know we are still there just as we would appreciate the same.
I am not perfect yet, but I pray to perfect it soon because as I long for it, I know others wish for me to extend the same, so help me God.

Your HEALTH is in your hands.

What? know you not that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have of God, and you are not your own? 1Corinthians 6:19 KJV

There is more to defiling the body(temple) than sex. Many of us ignore the other ways because we are guilty of that. Partaking harmful substances, gluttony, using our bodies as a dumpster for junk. There is really no excuse not to be healthy, your health is your responsibility! Get started now, you won't regret it!

Ordinary isn't in your DNA

The reason why ordinary hurts is that it's neither in your DNA externally Ps139:14 nor internally Gen 1:26.
I pray that we neither rest on our laurels nor tolerate the comfort zones of being ordinary but reach to be one with our TRUE likeness by the Spirit of God!

A True heart(one that can love unconditionally), Virtue and Faithfulness.Although the world has created a more materialistic and complicated list,these remain the most important ingredients of a successful relationship. And the third Chord(God)Ecclesiastes 4:12 is the one who will sustain the relationship.

Rebellion

Rebellion is both foolish and deceptive because it assumes 'I am my own master' but only through consequence does it realize that 'I am the poorest master of myself' and then runs back to The True Master as a fixer. "The day you hear my voice, Harden not your heart"Psalm95:7-8 , Hebrews3:15

Busy isn't always productive

There are no props in being busy, PRODUCTIVITY is worth being proud of.Differentiate between the two and increase your productivity.
be a "workman that is unashamed" 2 Timothy 2:15 for your productivity justifies the hours put in whatever the amount.

I need to be kept

"It doesn't take plenty to destroy a life." It doesn't have to be intended, nor a long process, nor come from an evil heart, it can even happen as a foolish act of love.For this reason each and everyone needs to be Kept and Saved from self. Lord keep me and be my strength in weakness.

There is alot behind a flower.

Before the flower,the ground is CAREFULLY selected, the seed is SOWN, the root develops therein and after a while of WATERING(the word), the root BREAKS THROUGH the ground, and the fruit and flowers BLOSSOM(maturing,rewards). The Kingdom way has no short cuts, work is put into very pleasure and beauty beheld at a later stage.There is a process and there is a reward for the diligent and patient.Mark4:10-19

Salt of the Earth

I carry a small sachet of salt in my bag to remind me of the flavour I should be putting on this earth in accordance with Matt 5:13"Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men.". You are not adding flavour if there is no substance of worth within you, and the substance of worth, is guarded from contamination nurtured and then added unto others...

Timing is key in receiving

The best is received in God's time, anything else is on a crash route. He makes all things beautiful in His own time Ecc3:11.Timing is key in receiving.

Face your destiny!

Genesis 32:23-24And he took them, and sent them over the brook, and sent over that he had.(he laid off all his baggage)

And Jacob was left alone;(he was without a hindering attachment) and there wrestled a man with him until the breaking of the day. (the moment his destiny changed, he faced it!)

Your destiny must be met FACE to FACE, you can't meet your destiny with your back turned facing your past, carrying past attachments ,reminiscing about the old days!

verse4- purposefully and with determination(as you would for silver and hidden treasures)

Fleeing from the wrong thing.

Isaiah43:19
"Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert."KJV
yet we in our very "high" understanding of things are running from the dessert and wilderness. Read again IN the wilderness shall the way be made...IN the dessert shall the rivers flow...WAIT, the Lord wants something done IN that place you are trying to flee from in agony.

You can't fool God

God is not some myopic investor you can manipulate documents for in order to convince Him to invest in your company. He knows every detail whether you conceal it or not and He will not give more when the little given is a mess. Instead of praying" more" we often need to pray "God fix me now so that later I may not spoil the more you will give."

Be careful with your blessings.

Don't rudely awaken yourself from your "dream come true" by carelessness, foolishness and unbelief. Whatever God blesses you with or allows you to grow in should not be ruined but cherished, protected and nurtured.

Worship

You'd be amazed at how many cares and worries do not matter when you begin to worship. I'm thankful for the opportunity to go in anytime at my free will!

"Oh the worshiper in me wants to be free, from the cares of life that try to hold me down

Open your mind.

Lessons are not meant for just one season in life , they are for several seasons. Lessons can also be applied to more than one area.Limiting life lessons to only one area of your life can lead to going around  the same mountain several times. Often the lessons we learn can be applied to numerous areas in our life so make sure you identify all these points.
As I read the scriptures I am always amazed at how diverse it's wisdom is, in one verse I am given enough power for more than one dead area in my life. Open your mind! Narrow thinkers repeatedly fail.

Dealing with it from the wrong end.

This comment resonated more in my spirit than any of the other comments about the case of the 17 year old Sowetan rape victim. May we realise that the more the human race deals with issues from the resulting end and not from the root/cause, the more these problems will multiply.

Lights on!

The failure in educational effectiveness is in teaching procedural knowledge rather  than conceptual understanding.Before you teach anything to anyone, ask yourself do you understand the concept well enough to teach it or are you only relaying procedures for results?

A climb always takes more effort than a fall so if you feeling that stretch and pull it doesn't mean you're on the wrong path, it's supposed to be a challenge to climb!!!! Keep going!

Nobody condemns a mother for taking her child off milk to solid foods but we grumble and resist when God does what is necessary to mature us! Let God perfect the things pertaining to you!

Tough love

God is not in the business of nursing babies but in the business of raising giants and until you understand that, stagnation will prevail.

Go for it!

In life there is rarely a surrogate(to give birth to your dream) or the short cut of adopting someonelse's dream. You might have midwife to help you, a hand to hold through the pains but ultimately you have to P.U.S.H you own dream into reality.Pray, Pursue, Persist!

Relationship tip 2: Love does NOT hurt. 1 Corinthians 13:4-13, there is nothing in this blue print that tells us that love hurts.With every good thing that love has to give, hurt is the total opposite of all those things.

How to get over it

 I was listening to Iyanla Vanzant not so long ago and she said something that blew my mind. She  was talking about the death of her daughter and how she had healed from it by removing herself from the physical and embracing the lesson of it. I realised then that the physical(circumstances, maerial, even people) is always just a tool for the lesson.The physical is just like a pen and book used to write down what is being transfered from the teacher to the student.The important thing is what is being transfered, not the stationary being used. So is life.The lesson serves a greater purpose and therefore should be given more priority than the physical.
