lessons from Samson

Judges 14:5-6
He had nothing in his hand, but the spirit of the Lord had everything ! we need to go to battle looking at everything God has in His hands and not in our own hands.

After the fierce battle that he won, there was a swarm of bees & honey(wisdom, reward) for every battle the Lord helps us to fight there is a reward, there is honey! it is not in Vain

Reception from a point of identity

Just as with most laws, spiritually speaking inheritence is more closely tied with identity than it is by "claims"(in this case words of faith). To recieve an inheritence your identity must be in line with the stipulated will/contract.Similarly, spiritually  only sons and daughters that are aware of their identity and authority can inherit. Without that your claims are just empty faith slogans.Who are you?it's up to you to decide!

Where did it all go wrong?

To get it back you have to go back to the point where you first lost your way....most losses and failures are a sequence of decisions and events rather than a single moment. May the Holy Spirit guide us all.

What an opportunity we have!

The love of God through the sacrifice of His Son gives us a continual opportunity for us to get things right but most times we are our worst enemy because instead of looking at it as an opportunity we continually wait with pressure for the moment we will fail.

Perfect peace-Shalom

According to Strong's Concordance 7965 Shalom means completeness, wholeness, health, peace, welfare, safety soundness, tranquility, prosperity, perfectness, fullness, rest, harmony, the absence of agitation or discord. Shalom comes from the root verb shalom meaning to be complete, perfect and full. 

It is in essence a perfect untainted peace. Today and for the rest of your  lives my wish for you all is Shalom.Always remember perfect peace with self is the first step to perfect peace with others. 

Let your light shine and walk in the light

Seeing people wrestle with the dark and eventually losing their lives should clean our windows of perpespective.The truth is that taking that long walk in the light is greater than any fleeting moment in the dark no matter how alluring it may be. And the light is not unattainable but within our reach ,dwelling  even in our very hearts if we can acknowledge that.2Corinthians4:6-7

Isaiah30:15

You can't put a time limmit to the wait, you can't have control of all things, you may not even understand all things(note to self) but you can decide:No fretting, It is well!
 Be encouraged and be strengthened.

Slice away the dead weight
Slice away the excuses
Slice away the destructive habits
Slice away wordly thoughts
Slice away the past you.....only you know what to get rid of but to advance you must slice it away!

The foundation matters

If we build on personality rather than on stability(Christ the Rock) then our foundations can't stand and eventually whatver we build will come tumbling down. May we choose true stability

Permeability

Just as with the process of Osmosis, the flow of God's word,glory and power to His people depends greatly on the PERMEABILITY of the believer.Let's rid ourselves of the blockages of the flow.

Tune to the right frequency

God's word always let's us know that greatness is something we must not slip from(because we already are that,created in His likeness). We are great from the way we were created(fearly and wonderfully) to our DNA (thanks to the blood of Jesus), to the power over our thoughts(thinking on things above, thinking in heavenly places) but the world portrays greatness as something we must struggle to attain at all costs.So who will you listen to?

Reasoning is not an enemy

After the thrills and chills your intellect which is one of the greatest gifts God gave will still be hungry for answers , seek God because He alone has the answers. Contrary to those who try to stifle and suffocate reason and understanding as if it were a mortal sin and enemy to our faith , God is not afraid of our questions, He is ready to answer.In all your getting, get understanding.It is that which feeds you, not the theatrics.

Who am I that you are mindful of me?

The blessed is nothing without the blesser.

The annointed is nothing without the annointer.

The chosen is nothing without the chooser

Once we are humble enough to distinguish the two and to realise this, our gratitude will move us to be the best we can be, to live according to His will and to glorify Him in all our ways.Thank you Father!

Who is really to blame?

We blame the skpetics for not hearing the message of our faith but the message can't be heard if our private lives speak much louder than the message. People are more convinced by what they see lived than the grandiloquence of our lips. May BE the message more and more and less of representatives. Enjoy your Friday :-)

Be selective about what/who you listen to

In life you need to press the mute button for all the naysayers and turn the volume full blast to God's word and  His will for your life. Let every man be a liar, let only God be True (Romans3:4) Be it unto you as God says Luke1:38. Enjoy your day :-)
